The appointment to the panel is non-remunerative. Only panel lawyers get remunerative project assignments. The professional starts earning a fee from the time a project is assigned and not before that.

Depending upon the nature and duration of the assignment, we generate a monthly invoice or a one-time invoice for payment.
All costs are built into our term-sheet on the basis of the discussion and agreed fee model. There are no hidden costs.
There are instances when the company does not have resources for a full-time position. There are also situations where headcount approval is not available or requirements are short-term (project oriented). Secondment can easily address most of these situations and can lead to optimum utilisation of resources.
Managing confidentiality and adhering to ethical business conduct is crucial to the success of the secondment model. Our agreements with professionals have stringent confidentiality obligations. Additionally, there is a direct confidentiality agreement between Counselect and the professional. The professional has a cooling off period of six months post the completion of the assignment before taking on any other assignment in the same industry.
Once the discussions between Counselect and client are completed, it will take two weeks for a professional to start the assignment.
In case a professional is unavailable for a period of more than three working days, Counselect will provide a replacement pre-approved by the client. There is no additional fee for this support.
The term of secondment assignments can be from 30 days to 18 months.
There is no upper limit on the number of second assignments or number of professionals.
While requirements and benchmarks vary, our study and analyses have shown that Counselect is economical by at least 30-40%.
We do not encourage clients to place the secondment professionals into a full-time role. We put in substantial efforts in grooming these candidates and developing them for secondment assignments. The skill-set requirements and professional aspirations are not necessarily complementary to what is required for a full-time role.
While we do not encourage hiring professionals on assignment into a full-time role, if it happens, Counselect charges a 35% conversion fee.
