Global Legal Capability Centre for a Tech Solutions Leader

Legal Tech & AI Excellence
ITeS/ Solution Provider
A leading global tech company operating across multiple jurisdictions was looking to expand the capacity of its US legal team without compromising on quality or control. With 4,000+ contracts flowing in every year, a large share of which involved template verification and standard checks, the team was spending valuable time on repetitive work while also being asked to manage business workflows like SOWs and Order Forms end to end. Hence, the organisation was exploring different models for establishing a global legal and compliance support presence in India.
We designed a fully operational Legal Capability Centre model, led by an experienced Senior Counsel and supported by dedicated pods of legal analysts and legal operations professionals—aligned with the client’s contract support vision. We also created a culture integration framework to ensure that the India-based teams could integrate into the global legal function seamlessly, working as an extension of the global team rather than a separate unit.
To enable day-one effectiveness, we developed workflow maps and contract-specific playbooks and trained the new legal talent on them to start running the Centre’s day-to-day operations. We continued to evolve and refine these playbooks as new scenarios arose and integrated them with the existing CLM. In parallel, we rearchitected the CLM dashboard so the client could use contract data analytics for strategic reporting and measurable business impact. All contracting excellence artefacts were designed to be AI-ready and easily consumable by the organisation’s internal systems—ensuring the Capability Centre was built not just for the volume at that time, but for the future of how the team would work.
