Our Client, a tech unicorn aggregator, was looking for a legal professional for a period of six months, as they were undertaking a major expansion in International markets. The role demanded a professional with good transactional and commercial contract experience on the IT/ITES side. The client also expected the professional to have International experience in working with stakeholders across the APAC region.
From our panel of curated Lawyers, we identified a professional with 15+ years of experience dealing with legal and technology contracts across India, and in other countries in the APAC region. Our consultant has helped the client's rapid expansion in the International market from the very first day, across locations in India, Asia and Australia.
Our client, a US renewables energy major, was in the midst of an acquisition phase. The client had a mid-size legal team, but needed an M&A Lawyer to work with the existing team and external firms for a three-month period. The client wanted a Lawyer with experience in M&A with seven or more years of focussed acquisitions experience as a secondee, or a contract attorney.
Counselect recommended a Lawyer with extensive in-house and big law firm experience. During the assignment, the Lawyer supported the general counsel in the new markets geographies, including supplementing the India legal team. The secondment was extended for an additional period of three months, after which the Lawyer joined the client as a full-time in-house counsel.
Our client is a leading financial services MNC that had a critical project in the pipeline and did not have the headcount approval. They were looking for a legal counsel with experience in finance and corporate planning. Additionally they had a requirement of the secondment position to be based out Mumbai. The engagement period was six months to one year.
Counselect identified and engaged a Counsel with seven years of core banking experience to work closely with the client’s regional general counsel. The counsel was on the payroll of Vahura and seconded to the client. Within a short span of time, our counsel quickly became an essential part of the in-house team. The work included assisting the regional counsel to negotiate and conclude critical contracts, and handling the legal and regulatory aspects that will arise from their expansion plans into the South Asia market. A critical aspect of the assignment was to manage the organisation’s current recruitment cycle to ensure that the process was conducted in a timely and highly cost-efficient manner.
